WordGirl is an American children’s animated television series for children aged 9 –12, produced by the Soup2Nuts animation unit of Scholastic Entertainment for PBS Kids. The show began as a series of shorts that premiered on PBS Kids Go! on November 10, 2006, usually shown at the end of Maya & Miguel; the segment was then spun off into a new thirty-minute episodic series that premiered on September 3, 2007 on most Public Broadcasting Service member stations. This animated show is aimed at children six to twelve years old, but viewers older than this demographic have been reported as well. It is designed to teach about the expansive English language and its vocabulary. All four seasons each have twenty-six episodes. The show is also seen on some educational networks in Canada, including Knowledge in British Columbia and TVOntario, as well as Discovery Kids in Latin America. The program is also syndicated internationally in places such as Australia and Italy. The Spanish version is called "Chica Supersabia" and it is translated and dubbed in Caracas, Venezuela, and the Brazilian version is called "Garota Supersábia". There is a Catalan version called "La Súper Mots" and a Portuguese version called "Super Sabina". The show has received six Daytime Emmy nominations, winning three for "Outstanding Writing in Animation" in 2008, 2012, and 2013.

Becky, growing tired of her responsibilities to keep villains in line as WordGirl, is looking forward to much-deserved recreation time when a documentary of The Pretty Princess and Magic Pony Power Hour airs on TV. Unfortunately, just as she is about to sit down and watch it with her dad and TJ, Dr. Two Brains hacks into the TV signal. Becky then proceeds to cry "NOOOOOOO!!!!!" Episode 20 - Granny's Intuition

The episode starts with Granny May taking a Christmas Card photo of her cat, Colonel Mustard. Before she can take it, the mail arrives, with it the latest issue of the Candy Dish Enthusiast magazine. The magazine has an article about Cleopatra's candy dish coming to Fair City, which Granny plans to steal. She pulls off a robbery at the bank, but tricks the police that the security guard did by having them close their eyes "for a surprise" while she puts a stack of bills into the security guard's pocket, then giving them cookies so as not to arouse suspicion. WordGirl, who heard of the robbery on the news, arrives on the scene, but too late–Granny May has already "foiled" the crime. That night, news of Granny May having given up her evil ways to fight crime show on TV, and Granny claims to have been using her intuition to stop them. Vocabulary Words: Intution Charming

It’s Valentine’s Day in Ms. Davis’s class, and Becky is determined to give Scoops a Valentine this year. When he shows her one for a special friend, she eagerly asks him who it is for, but Victoria Best interrupts, stealing all the Valentines. When WordGirl tries to recover them, she is stopped by Tobey, who offers WordGirl a Valentine. Victoria Best is jealous of all the attention the WordGirl is getting, and she causes a disagreement between our heroine, Tobey, and Scoops.
