Valerian and Laureline are hired to transport drazel eggs to a safe haven. Easy enough, except that whoever hears a drazel cry is doomed to laugh to death and the babies are due to hatch in 24 hours. Flying a shortcut through the dangerous route 188 leads to an asteroid collision and the loss of precious time.

Episode 9 - Any Time

Valerian and Laureline are to fly a rare creature to a zoo, but before they can, it breaks out of its cage and releases a bird that bites Valerian's shoulder. The bird's poison causes insanity, then death, so it's up to Laureline to get an antidote, which requires a flower from the tree with 100,000 limbs.

Valerian rescues Prince Coren from pirates, but during their escape, his ship is damaged, forcing them to land on an uncharted planet. While looking for help, Valerian falls and bangs his head. When he comes to, though, standing over him is a female version of Coren, and this one has a major crush on Valerian.

While in a junkyard looking for spaceship parts, Valerian finds an android called RGE, but they're both taken prisoner by Dr. Zessel. Zessel creates an android double of Valerian to pump Laureline for information, while Val and his new android buddy hatch a plot to escape the mad doctor's dungeon.

Episode 5 - Time Is Up

Valerian and Laureline locate a treasure for the rich Zabole, but their client betrays Laureline by leaving her out in space, while Valerian is trapped within Zabole's palace, soon to be married unwillingly to her daughter. Worse, all men who are involved with the women of the Zabole family turn to stone!

Valerian and Laureline join a group of emigrants en route to Peter, a planet known as the “Promised Land”. The poverty-stricken partners are hired by three members of the strange Shingouz race to track down a “holy vase” on the planet Furbok. It turns out to be a simple task for Valerian and Laureline, but directly afterward, they're plagued by terrible relentless nightmares that are connected to the relic.
