Oxford popsters Supergrass return with tracks from their brilliant new album Diamond Hoo Ha, also new band of the moment New Yorkers Vampire Weekend perform an interesting mix of Western and African styles, which they describe as Upper West Side Soweto. Also performing in the studio is British jazz musician and trombonist Chris Barber.

Jools Holland presents a mixture of live music. American indie-pop funsters We Are Scientists debut tracks from their forthcoming LP Brain Thrust Mastery. Martina Topley Bird returns to the programme with tracks from her forthcoming album The Blue God, and Welsh female soul singer Duffy also performs.
