Primarily she discusses the young lives ministry named "Cross Over Youth Ministry" which uses tools like Bible-based lessons, activities, trips and dialog. The purpose of this ministry is to encourage teens to see the value of God’s word, in hopes that they may have the privilege of trusting him with their lives.

The Gospel Shed was nothing more than an old machine shed until work began in the spring of 2005 to transform it into a gospel music theatre and a meeting place for bible study and prayer groups and banquets. Schluckebier Associate Director of Biblical Counseling would make several appearances in the upcoming seasons on Outreach Connection following up on the addicts victorious program and Veterans Victorious. Veterans Victorious is a program of Addicts Victorious International Ministries and is an all inclusive outreach to those men and women from all ranks and branches of military service. The program offers hope and healing to any veteran who may be battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Pastor Tom Waters is also the longest running Camera Operator for the Outreach Connection program and light-heartedly plays the piano for Dr. Peppers and Donette Douglas to sing, while behind the scenes.

Jody Bogue, who has served terms as vice president and president of the Quincy Illinois Mothers Against Drunk Driving chapter (MADD). Jody Bogue is the 2008 recipient of the Adams County (Illinois) Bar Association's Liberty Bell Award as she discusses this and the Law Day luncheon. Dr.Peppers and Bogue also discuss how she has been in a wheelchair since a 1991 traffic crash when she was in a vehicle and hit by a drunken driver. Bogue has participated in more than 300 plus DUI impact panels. She's organized the annual all-grades school poster contest to discourage drinking and driving as well as underage drinking.

Bruce Rice - Executive Director WGCA Radio and Dixie Forte - Director for the Monthly National Day of Prayer are interviewed by Dr. Debra Peppers on the Outreach Connection program. Bruce Rice who is also president of the Christian Ministers Fellowship states "Our city leaders have always valued the importance of prayer and the place it holds in our community,". Local pastors and civic leaders always gather at two sites on the day to pray for their community that will provide an accent to National Day of Prayer. Further discussion of the annual Mayor's Breakfast at 7 a.m. at the Salvation Army, followed by a community prayer service at noon at City Hall, punctuate the National Day of Prayer activities. The Chosen Ones – Southern Gospel Concert also made an appearance at the 2008 National Day of Prayer in Quincy, Illinois.

Pastor Wendell McCombs from "Jail Ministries for Jesus" is interviewed by Dr. Debra Peppers on the Outreach Connection program. Among other topics Dr.Peppers and the pastor discuss the opening process of a new training center and branch office in Mendon. The training center is only one-half of a building donated to the organization by a private citizen for the works of Christ. The major component of this building will be the "Led New Community Outreach Program", led by President Rev. Denette McCombs of La Harpe and Vice President Donna Wittich of Carthage. This program is intended to minister to the families left behind by those incarcerated. Through the program, families of prisoners can receive food, medical supplies, household items, office supplies, and school supplies. This program will have over $30,000 worth of materials to start its inventory with when the program opens in June of 2008.

Reverend Dan Brothers, lead chaplain at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois appears on the Outreach Connection program taped at WTJR-TV in an interview with Debra Peppers. There are currently about 40 local pastors active in the Chaplains Program, mostly from the immediate Quincy area, but there are some, according to Brothers, who travel from as far away as Carthage and Ewing, Missouri. Brothers states most of the pastors involved are of the Protestant faith, but there are four Roman Catholic priests on call as needed.

Episode 58 - Led New Community Outreach Program

President Rev. Denette McCombs and Vice President Donna Wittich of the "Led New Community Outreach Program" sit down with Dr.Peppers on the Outreach Connection program. The topic is the new program entitled "Led New" is intended to minister to the families left behind by those incarcerated. Through the program, families of prisoners can receive food, household items, office supplies, school supplies, and more. This program will have over $30,000 worth of materials to start its inventory with when the program opens in June of 2008. They can also obtain information about area community service organizations, such as churches, food pantries and health departments. Hospitality churches will also be assigned to each family for spiritual needs and contact information. The main focus of the "Led New" program is "a hand up, not a hand out". Donna who resides in Keokuk, Iowa founded Kingdom Life Church in 2006 and is licensed as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Global Truth Ministries in Carthage, Illinois. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Ministry from Destiny Christian College in Franklin, Tennessee.
