Jung Ae is living a perfect life with a successful husband and son, and all her friends are jealous of her. However, Jung Ae still wants to find her ex-husband, whom she has been out of touch with for 30 years. Meanwhile, Eun Sung picks up a photo of her father on the street.
Jung Ae secretly asks her friend for help to find Dong Gu, and her children, Eun Hyuk and Eun A. Eun Sung finally gets a chance to perform on stage for the first time after joining the theater. While Eun Sung practices the role at the park, Sun Woo happens to see her acting.
After causing a huge scene at the theater, Eun Sung quits. However, she regrets it immediately as she is unemployed now. Meanwhile, Ha Young visits a crime scene for her next movie, and Eun Hyuk heads to the same place after getting a report.
Sun Woo and Eun Sung run into each other at the police station. Even though Sun Woo is looking for the cat lady, he cannot recognize her when she's right in front of him. Meanwhile, Eun Sung is worried she might end up in prison as Si Heon is not willing to withdraw the complaint.
Eun Sung talks to Si Heon to persuade him to withdraw his complaint. However, with Ju Ri by his side, Eun Sung has zero chance of getting out of this trouble. Ha Young finally meets Sun Woo in person at the office and already makes an unpleasant first impression.
Sun Woo meets up with Eun Sung to get back his jacket but sees her with a male mannequin and gets the wrong idea about her job. Meanwhile, Ha Young becomes furious at Dal Yong after she learns about another divorce he had, and Jung Ae happens to walk by Yoo Dong Gu on the street.

Sun Woo and Eun Sung both end up at the movies, watching a film together, though not exactly side by side. They hit it off over a little chat about the movie, bonding over shared interests, until Sun Woo unintentionally touches a nerve for Eun Sung. Meanwhile, Ha Young is laser-focused on getting closer to Sun Woo.

Chun Young unleashes her wrath on Eun Sung after learning she got fired from the theater. Eun Sung tells Sun Ju about what happened, and Sun Ju takes it into her own hands to punish Si Heon for what he did. Meanwhile, Dal Yong gets caught sneaking into the house by Ha Young.
It's Eun Sung's big audition day, and she prepares to do her best. However, she runs into a little problem right before the audition. Meanwhile, Sun Ju struggles all on her own to show Eun Sung the extra support Eun Sung needs for the audition.
Eun Sung gets hired as an admin assistant at Cheong Film after a job interview with Ha Young, not knowing she will be working with Sun Woo. Dong Gu is against the idea of Eun Sung joining Cheong Film as an assistant, but she decides to swallow her pride and take the opportunity.
Eun Sung happens to find out that Sun Woo is in a difficult situation as she reads a legal document on his desk. Furthermore, Ha Young gives a simple task to Eun Sung, but she ends up losing all the important files of Cheong Film. Meanwhile, Both Ki Seok and Jung Ae get a tip that Dong Gu is in the country.
The moment Jung Ae hears the news about Dong Gu, she wants to start searching for Eun Hyuk and Eun A as soon as possible. However, Jung Sook is the only one who is not happy with the news. Meanwhile, Eun Sung runs around everywhere to restore all the files she lost, and Sun Woo is worried about her.

Ha Young becomes distressed over the Cat that keeps in contact with Sun Woo and starts to investigate who the Cat could be. Min Guk and Ga Ram hold a special event for Eun A. Meanwhile, Eun Hyuk drinks with Dal Yong, who feels deeply betrayed by his friend.
Sun Woo hands over the cat heart to Eun Sung, but she gets upset as it reminds her of a bad memory. Therefore, Sun Woo feels awful for messing up her day. Meanwhile, Ha Young gets infuriated as she figures out who Cat was all along. She starts to interrogate Eun Sung and Sun Woo.

Jung Ae finds out where Dong Gu is and rushes over to the chicken restaurant to meet Eun A and Eun Hyuk. Jung Sook also heads to the restaurant to meet Dong Gu before Jung Ae. Meanwhile, Eun Sung wants to audition for Sun Woo's new film, but she hesitates as she has to leave the team to participate.
Dong Gu and Jung Ae clear up the misunderstandings and realize Jung Sook was the one who split them from each other. Dong Gu and Chun Young finally let Eun A and Eun Hyuk know about their birth mother, but Eun A is not fond of the news.
Chun Young becomes sad when Eun Hyuk tells her he wants to meet his biological mother. After finding out that Eun Sung is an unknown actress, Jung Ae disapproves of her even more. Eun Sung can't forget what Jung Ae said to her during dinner, and her words weigh heavily in her mind. Meanwhile, Sun Woo argues with Jung Ae over why she doesn't think Eun Sung is the right match for him.

Ha Young almost vomits in front of Eun Hyuk's parents and realizes she is ill. After visiting the hospital, she tells Eun Hyuk surprising news. Meanwhile, Jung Ae runs into Dal Yong on her way to meet with Ha Young's father and gets into a scuffle.
Jung Ae and Dal Yong are shocked to find out they're Eun Hyuk and Ha Young's parents. Remembering their rocky start, they promise not to approve of their kids’ marriage. But everything changes when Ha Young announces she's pregnant. After the chaos, Jung Ae drunkenly calls Chun Young, blaming her for not keeping Eun Hyuk in line.
The dispute over Dong Gu and Chun Young's affair escalates, prompting Jung Ae to take Sun Woo and Eun Sung to Haha Chicken to resolve it. While there, Chun Young reveals a shocking revelation about Sun Woo, leaving Jung Ae visibly unsettled by her knowledge. Simultaneously, another individual likely to be astonished by the news overhears it.
Sun Woo hides that he knows Jung Ae isn't his biological mother, and he thanks her from the bottom of his heart. Min Guk falls into deep shock after hearing that Ga Ram isn't his biological child. Hye Yoon tells him the truth from six years ago and that she will take care of Ga Ram if he can't accept Ga Ram. Meanwhile, Jung Ae rebukes Eun Sung as her daughter-in-law about the first family dinner for no apparent reason.
After seeing Je Ha dropping Eun Sung off in front of the house, Jung Ae warns Eun Sung to act accordingly. Meanwhile, Ga Ram senses something wrong with Jin Sil and makes a heart-rending plea to her. Later, Jin Sil meets Hye Yoon regarding Ga Ram.
Everyone in Eun Sung's family becomes devastated when they all get a negative match to be Chun Young's liver donor. Sun Woo says he will also get tested to be the donor, but Jung Ae forbids it. Meanwhile, Jung Ae meets with Tto Soon's mom, the lady who had spread rumors of Dong Gu's affair 30 years ago.
