In the 1980s, the FBI monitors a Norwegian diplomat and his family. The FBI pretends to be neighbours and friends, and tricks the Norwegian family around.
Treholt is invited out to both lunches and dinners by what will later turn out to be the KGB. Does he even know that he is being recruited?
Together with the Minister of the Law of the Sea, Treholt negotiates with the Soviets about important sea areas outside Norway. At the same time, he maintains secret dealings with the KGB.
