A temporary high school teacher’s dead body is found in the garden in front of her apartment. However, people are more worried about its effect on their apartment prices than the deceased. Miss Lee, who is responsible for almost all affairs related to this very apartment’s reconstruction, is questioned by a police officer, Ho Chul, who feels something awkward about the death.
After questioning witnesses that surround the death of a high school teacher, Yang Su Jin, Ho Chul still feels that there is a missing piece of the story. As he digs into the case, he realizes that there is a complicated tie among those who knew Su Jin. Meanwhile, weird cases break out around the neighborhood, which all seem to be connected one way or another.
With the autopsy showing death from suffocation, Yang Su Jin's case turns into a murder case. Two suspects are on the list, Seo Tae Hwa and Im Jung Kwon. However, the police don't have any hard evidence to arrest anyone. Meanwhile, Goong Bok gets Tae Hwa out from police custody for attacking Lee Myung Won.
Miss Lee and Ho Chul scramble to find Su Jin's phone, hoping to be the first one to find any evidence. However, Nam Ki Soon, an old lady with dementia, makes it a difficult task. Meanwhile. Ho Chul gets a call regarding the DNA results found underneath Yang Su Jin's nails.
Bong Man Rae admits to killing Yang Su Jin and takes his wife suffering from dementia to the water's edge. After sharing their last words, he drives into the water. Meanwhile, Ho Chul receives a call confirming a DNA match from the sample he requested and the DNA found under Yang Su Jin's nails.
Ho Chul interrogates Miss Lee for the murder of Yang Su Jin. However, even before she gets to tell the truth, footage of the hit-and-run driver falls into the police's hands. When the driver's face shows, Ho Chul can't believe his eyes and admits his relationship with Lee Myung Won. Meanwhile, Yang Su Jin's mother dies.
