The Cut (2005)
The Cut was a television reality show for world class fashion designers hosted and sponsored by fashion designer and billionaire Tommy Hilfiger. Sixteen designers split into new teams each week to complete tasks, with a player eliminated each round. The show debuted on CBS, and shifted timeslots through the summer. Of note was the catch phrase Hilfiger used for each elimination, celebrity appearances, and the New York City setting. The winner had the opportunity to design a clothing line for HIllfiger. In the final, three contestants were allowed to bring back former teammates to help design a window display. Hilfiger chose Cortez as the winner.

Meet the 16 style-savvy contestants as they compete for the ultimate prize - to design their own clothing collection under the Tommy Hilfiger label.
The remaining 15 contestants are spit into two teams with the challenge of customizing two SUVs for rap star Fabolous.
The daunting task the contestants face tonight is to restore two legendary nightclubs, Studio 54 and the Cotton Club.
The contestants are given 30 hours to come up with three original dress designs to be modeled at the Style Forum. Four lucky contestants are invited to a New York store’s private party.
The 12 remaining contestants are spilt up into two teams as they head out West to research designs for Western wear.
