Virtues of Harmony is a long-running sitcom from Hong Kong, lasting 322 episodes with two direct seasons. Produced by Tsui Yu On, the sitcom was a TVB production and aired five days a week from September 17, 2001 to December 28, 2002. The series chronicles the comical events and life of the Kam household, a rich family during a prosperous time in the Ming Dynasty of China. The series was inspired by the 2000 TVB comedy drama Colourful Life. Originally planned to be an 150-episode sitcom, an extra 200 episodes were added due to the sitcom's rating success. After the episode finale, a spin-off sequel, Virtues of Harmony II was released in 2003, as well as a spin-off musical, which starred the same cast.

FU always shouts at GAY. GAY leaves home. YEK, MEI and LO worry that GAY will commit suicide. They follow her secretly. They are very tired and take rest. All have picked up a bag of money. LIN’s cart overturns and discovers that all money has turned into stones. KING orders LIN to find out the criminal.
The KIM’s again escape from disaster. KING only punishes them lightly. LO bursts into the forbidden area and makes the place a mess. BROW discovers them and forces her to clean up the place.
KING sees YUI who is playing happily with his son. YUI reminds KING that it might be QUEEN’s problem as they cannot have baby for years. FU is enlightened and claims that she could give some medicine to GAY. KING is glad and orders them to make some powerful formula.
The next day, SASA visits ‘Ka Yan’ Palace with luxury presents. YUI mentions that the colleagues of Hanlin Department have won the lottery game. Despite the denial of HONG, YUK fails to believe in him. She investigates their bedroom and discovers a bag of money. HONG explains every detail but, no one believes him.
Finally, PAK marries KWOK KAU and her status has risen a lot suddenly. Notwithstanding her status, her arrogant comes back also. The four beauty wives are disappointed that PAK denies the help they offered and turns against them.
