After dropping underground to do a pop-up performance of his song “Plain Jane” at a New York subway station, A$AP heads to a school assembly for a surprise performance of “New Level” as a personal thank you to Majid for all he does for his students.
Superstar girl group 5th Harmony drops in on a fan who’s used their music to cope with personal tragedy. At the age of 20, Stephanie was injured in a car accident, leaving her in a wheelchair as a quadriplegic. While Steph initially struggled to make friends in the wheelchair community, she learned to find strength from a community she never knew she needed, much as the women in 5th Harmony found strength as a group despite starting as solo artists. The group loads up to surprise Steph at a performance she’s doing with her wheelchair dance group, and prove that girl power knows no bounds. *This episode was recorded weeks before 5th Harmony announced they were taking an indefinite hiatus, giving this episode even more special meaning as one of their last forays as a foursome.*
Pop star Charlie Puth is excited to surprise Alex, a young woman who’s active in giving back to her community. She’s about to turn 17, but has never had a birthday party, so it’s just the right excuse for Charlie to show up unannounced with a surprise performance of “How Long.”

Blake Shelton knows very well that country music touches a wide variety of people, and fan Ty is no exception. Ty grew up living on the streets, and then in foster care, aging out of the system before being adopted. He remembers being in a foster home when the TV got stuck on CMT, and falling in love with the music and the message that it is possible to make it out of a dark place. Now grown up, Ty volunteers to help youth currently in the system, so they don’t fall victim to the same challenges he experienced. Blake Shelton is ready to give Ty the surprise of a lifetime with a performance of Ty’s favorite song, “Honeybee,” and “Boys Round Here,” and to thank him for his work passing it forward to the next generation.
