Umm Harun (Harun's mother) recounts how clashes started between people of different religions and classes. Mohamed's mother is shocked to learn of his relationship with the Jewish Rahil. The strife between Muslims and Jews manifest when the Jews take over Jerusalem.
Dawud and Umm Harun accept condolences for their dead Jewish family member. Refqa admonishes Rahil for her relationship with Mohamed, and Umm Harun encourages her husband to find their son a Jewish bride. Mariam sets a trap for Jabr who abandoned her and married Aliaa.
Umm Harun blows the whistle on a Jewish man who mixes milk with wine for Muslims. Aliaa confronts her husband with her knowledge of his love for Mariam, and he quarrels with the latter. Dawud gets upset when Abu Mohamed (Mohamed's father) raises donations for the Palestinians.
Umm Harun admonishes Mariam and urges her to stay away from Abu Sa'ied (Sa'ied's father), and Mariam tells her she knows what's between them. Rahil's father rejects Mohamed and tells him she is engaged. Ezra gets the money to buy weapons.
When her family rejects Mohamed, Rahil tries to commit suicide. Ezra takes advantage of the situation to hide the weapons at the house, and Dawud quarrels with them. Jabr suspects Mariam for being the reason Abu Sa'ied got sick. Rahil elopes with Mohamed.
Umm Harun bails Umm Mohamed and the other women out. Mariam asks for the priest's permission to marry Abu Sa'ied so she can invite more people to Christianity, and both Abu Mohamed and Dawud are shocked to see the priest distributing copies of the Bible amongst the children.
Umm Harun admonishes Abu Sa'ied for marrying Mariam. Rahil learns that Mohamed got engaged to another. Abu Yacoub (Yacoub's father) refuses to wed his son to Rahil.
Mohamed gets married, and Umm Sa'ied (Sa'ied's mother) falls ill when she learns her husband married Mariam. Ishak proposes to Rahil.
Rahil tells her mother that her sister and Ezra are zionists. As Ezra and his wife burn down Yacoub's house to frame the Muslims for it, Rahil's mother validates her daughter's account.
Ezra tells Mas'ouda he burnt the house to secure a way for them out of the country. Yacoub asks for Dawud's daughter's hand for his son. Hend tells Aliaa that she isn't her real mother.
Hend tells Aliaa that Umm Harun found baby Aliaa abandoned in the streets and entrusted Hend to raise her. Mohamed's father disapproves of Zanouba's marriage because she is still a minor. Umm Harun passes out and is rushed to the hospital.
Ezra steals Dawud's money. Umm Harun tells Abu Sa'ied that Mariam is pregnant. Jaber puts herbals in Mariam's food to abort her.
Dawud learns it is Ezra who robbed him. When he learns that Rahil wants to donate blood to Mohamed, he decides to kill her, and her husband divorces her. Mohamed forgives Umm Harun.
Dawud tries to convince Jabr to convert to Judaism when he learns that Umm Harun is his mother. Umm Sa'ied suspects that Jabr and Mariam are having an affair.
Zanouba is discharged from the hospital. Rahil elopes with Mohamed. Jabr asks Mariam to leave Abu Sa'ied and marry him.
Jabr kicks out Abu Sa'ied and his two wives from the house and takes over their properties. Umm Harun tells Aliaa that she is Qabela's daughter and Zanouba's sister. Dawud sets a trap for Abu Mohamed and falsely claims to the people that he is in cahoots with the English forces.
Ezra travels to Israel. Mariam loses her baby when Jaber pushes her over. Umm Harun bargains with Mariam to get Jabr to marry her in exchange for getting Abu Sa'ied out of prison. Jabr divorces Aliaa.
Dawud's daughter learns that her father is a pro-Zionism man, who's cooperating with the English forces to return the Jews to Palestine to establish the State of Israel. Abu Sa'ied falls ill and is rushed to the hospital.
Abu Sa'ied is released from prison. A decision is made to banish Ezra from Kuwait for his collaboration with Israel. A tragic accident befalls Rahil and Mohamed.
Refqa refuses to get back with Ezra. Dawud tries to get Mohamed to divorce Rahil. Jabr asks for his uncle Abu Sa'ied's forgiveness in an attempt to clear the air between them.
Mohamed divorces Rahil. Mariam realizes that Abu Sa'ied has plotted to have a girl poison Jabr. Umm Harun assures Mariam that she switched the dishes before Jabr could eat from the poisoned one.
Abu Mohamed's innocence is proven, and it is discovered that Dawud was the one inciting the people against him. Abu Mohamed tries to demolish Dawud's house in retaliation. Umm Sa'ied quarrels with her husband. The Jewish community in Kuwait considers fleeing Kuwait for Israel.
Jabr suspects that Abu Sa'ied is the one who poisoned the water of the well. Rafiqa decides to run away from her father's house. Similarly, Abu Mohamed decides to leave Kuwait for Saudi Arabia.
