Abbas recalls how he got the deceased Lotfy Al-Ganainy's passport to evade a death sentence and imprisonment. Mohga goes to pick up Abbas with her children, and she conceals her shock at his different appearance.
Abbas notices Lubna's infatuation with the wealthy young man Hesham, but he is unaware that they are married in secret. Abbas asks Morsy to find his son Baybars, and signs promissory notes to pay Mohga's debts.
Rasha accidentally hits Abbas with her car, and he goes with her to help her sick father. Moharram and Nahid discuss Abbas's sudden appearance. Hesham's father rejects his son's marriage to Lubna.
Moharram meets Abbas and promises to give his money and family back. Baybars dismisses half of the employees, and Moharram quarrels with him over his decision.
Nahid confirms that Abbas doesn't have his identity documents, and he turns down her offer to keep silent in exchange for money. Abbas decides to meet Baybars and tell him that he is his father.
At the company, Samy recognizes Abbas, and Baybars recognizes him as the man who quarreled with him twice before and kicks him out. Determined to prove his real identity, Abbas returns to the school where he worked to get his documents.
Mahmoud manages to get his father Lotfy Al-Ganainy's file and affirms that his physical description does not match Abbas's. Sa'ied makes use of his friend Baybars's money.
Mahmoud tells Lubna that Abbas isn't their father. Abbas meets Hesham to solve Lubna's dilemma and asks Moharram to find Mahmoud a job at his company.
Abbas sets a date for Lubna and Hesham's wedding, while Hesham's father threatens to disown his son if he marries Lubna.
When Hesham's father has a stroke that requires him to travel abroad, Hesham travels with his father without informing Lubna, and she breaks down.
Morsy plots to rob Moharram's safe. Mahmoud starts working at the company. Abbas tries to get his history book published, despite all discouragement that could be. Nahid begs Abbas to stay away from her family in order not to ruin their lives.
Nevine tries to woo Baybars, and Nahid realizes what a spoiled and materialistic person her son has grown up to be. Ashraf and Laila get close. Abbas starts selling history books for a living.
Morsy robs the safe. When he learns of what happened, Abbas decides to return the money. Sa'ied steals Nahid's necklace.
As Abbas goes to the villa to return the money, Moharram and Nahid accuse him of robbing them and kick him out. Mohga futilely tries to prove Abbas's innocence. Abbas saves money to have his book published. Nevine steals Nahid's necklace from Sa'ied.
Moharram rewards Mahmoud as he solves a problem caused by Sa'ied. When Laila goes to buy a history book, she flees upon seeing that Abbas is the seller. Nahid prepares for Laila's birthday and is shocked to see her necklace around Nevine's neck.
Abbas sends Laila the book as a gift. Nahid visits Nevine to see how she got the necklace, and she is shocked to discover that Nevine is in a relationship with Baybars. Laila visits Abbas who tells her that he is her father's friend.
Moharram asks for Abbas's help to save Baybars. Abbas quarrels with Mohga for visiting Nahid. Nevine breaks up with Sa'ied and goes on a trip with Baybars.
Mahmoud and Laila have a disagreement. The police arrest Abbas for failing to pay off his debts.
Abbas's debts are paid off and he is released. Mahmoud and Laila cross paths at the company and quarrel. Laila visits Abbas and starts getting friendly with him.
Mahmoud and Laila become friends. After Nahid tells Baybars that Abbas is his father, she urges him to break up with Nevine or she will disown him. Hesham's father gets better, and the lovebirds get back together.
Mahmoud is getting infatuated with Laila, and the feeling is quite mutual. Sa'ied warns Baybars against Nevine and tells him she is merely an opportunistic person.
A clash occurs between Baybars and Moharram, and the employees side with Baybars. Mahmoud is fired from the company. Moharram takes his son Tamer and leaves the villa, ignoring Nahid's pleas for him to help Baybars.
Laila confesses her feelings for Mahmoud. Moharram opens his own company and hires Mahmoud. Laila tries to get Abbas's book published.
Abbas is saddened when his book is published under Lotfy's name. Moharram asks Abbas to convince Laila to marry Ashraf, but Laila refuses and tells her family that she is in love with someone else.
Abbas and Mahmoud agree to let Mahmoud present his shroud to his enemies to see if they shall forgive his father's wrongdoings. Baybars is worried about Sa'ied learning of his relationship with Nevine. Abbas resumes his life under Lotfy's identity.
Lubna learns that she's pregnant with Hesham's baby. Nahid learns that Baybars has taken 6 million pounds from the company and fled. As Abbas and Mahmoud travel to Lotfy's village, a misunderstanding occurs and they are imprisoned by a drug dealer.
Lubna has a miscarriage. Mahmoud is granted forgiveness and he and Abbas return home safe and sound. Nahid begs Moharram to save Baybars. Hesham and Lubna get married.
Sa'ied shoots Baybars but he survives the gunshot. Abbas reveals his true identity and that he is Baybars and Laila's father. Abbas's book receives an award and he marries Mohga, while Mahmoud marries Laila.
