The expedition also includes 16 flights, 80.5 hours of flight time, and 456 hours away from family. The expedition's route begins in Antarctica and includes stops in Santiago, Chile, Miami, Florida, Barcelona, Spain, and Cairo, Egypt. The expedition's goal is to honor fallen heroes and raise money for scholarships to military families.
