Watch Suburban Daydream For Free
n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
The movie really just wants to entertain people.
It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review
Failed middle school science then this show is for you. Like lots of cheap panning camera talking heads to fill film time, yep. Need baddies vs. goodies, of course. Need blue light luminescent human alien infestations; sorry been done countless times before. Impressed by lots of floating screen computer graphic simulations; doesn't take much to make you happy. Think the space ship designs are a no-brainer possibility; back to middle school for you. Think humans thriving on those other planets/bodies is as easy as is shown then you never outgrew thinking your toy models were real.
Happy new year to the IMDb staff and readers of my reviews as of now I will have 195 thanks for reading my review members of IMDb and hope you like my all my review check out and thank you I know you don't respond so It's a 1hr 58mins of car mania of Action, amazing jump a Crime Thriller I gave it 7/10 director Dominic Sena who done the thriller swordfish with an all star cast to boot does a fine job for a summer hit A retired master car thief must come back to the industry and steal 50 cars with his crew in one night to save his brother's life this ice cold hot wired a budget of 90 million dollars and mad 101,643008 million in the b.o in this High octane superstar Nicolas cage ( leaving Las Vegas the rock and con air ) and sexy Angelina jolie ( girl interrupted and tomb raider ) are unstoppable wave of speed and adrenaline rush in this hot edgy action hit legendary car booster Randall Memphis raines ( cage ) thought he d be left the fast lane behind until he is forced out of retirement in a do or die effort to save his kid brother ( Giovanni ribsi ) saving private Ryan ) from the wrath of a evil mobster. Car theft in Long Beach went down 47% when Randall "Memphis" Raines walked away from the life. He gets dragged back into it by assuming the job his brother Kip screwed up for stolen-car broker Raymond Calitri: steal 50 exotic cars and have them on a container ship by 8 AM Friday morning, and he got this news on a Monday. With Calitri threatening to kill him and Kip, and the police GRAB unit breathing down his neck, Memphis reassembles his old crew and attempts to pull off the logistically impossible But with speed to burn and attitude to spare Memphis re assembles his old team including Robert duval ( deep Impact) and vinney Jones as Spinx's his first acting role ) this fast movie floors it in full throttle and to race to pull off the ultimate car heist 50 cars in 24 hours this action packed thrill ride comes out fast and never slows down a remake of a 1974 and before fast and the furious this is the king before the the amazing fast films. So yes, this movie isn't an "epic, life-affirming post-9/11 picture with obligatory social commentary" effort. The pacing is uneven, some of the scenes could have been cut and not all the actors tow the line. But car movies rarely come better than this. So if you hate cars... why are you even reading these comments. Films where the plot takes a backseat to the set-pieces. Films where the dialogue isn't so cleverly written that it ties itself in endless knots of purple prose. There are HUNDREDS of films that fit the bill... but in my opinion Gone In Sixty Seconds is one of the better ones.an Eleanor is cool looking but the Ferraris and porches look hotNicolas Cage ... The cops in this British drama don't act like professional policemen but more like mentally deranged teenagers with anger management issues. The main character, DI Thorne (David Morrissey), is not in control of his emotions. His volatility and rage seem to infect the other members of the cast so that in total what we have here is a virtual feeding frenzy of scenery chewing. Cops yell at other cops and cops and medical doctors yell at each other. In one scene one character becomes enraged and punches another character repeatedly in the face for no reason that was apparent to me. DI Thorne seems to believe that he can communicate with a woman in a vegetative state by shouting at her. Other times he seems depressed and on the verge of suicide. The plot is senseless and contrived. Nobody appears to behave rationally. A woman doctor, when she finds out that her daughter has been kidnapped, just freaks out and starts screaming uncontrollably and Thorne freaks out too, running around like a chicken with its head cut off. So who's minding the store?I don't generally like procedurals that feature serial killers, and especially serial killers with weird and perverted MOs, and especially serial killers who have an obsession with the primary investigator, sending him taunting messages. These are tired, boring clichés. That's my prejudice. But I must admit that genre could be done well in the right hands. This one is just awful. Don't waste your time.
Overall, a brainless-but-lots of fun flick and very fast-moving one, typically sleazy (er, "gritty," as critics preferred to call them) movie of its decade. In the 1970s, who better than make a thug into a lovable, good guy we all want to root for than Burt Reynolds? Box-office-wise, Burt was the hottest thing going in the '70s and playing a lawbreaker seemed to be tailor-made for him, from "Smokey And The Bandit" on down the line. The shock in this movie was seeing nice-guy Eddie Albert play the mean warden, but he pulled it off convincingly. Most of the characters in this movie are over-the-top, but that was the idea. This movie manipulates all of us to root for the prisoners in the big football games against the prison guards. In essence, that's the story in this film: a big football game played between prison inmates and the guards. Along the way, Burt gives us his normal glib-but-entertaining wisecracks and personality and we get some wild characters to go with him, such as the very likable "Caretaker" (James Hampton).Burt is macho enough, as the quarterback here, for the guys to respect him, and still be a ladies' favorite. I can't say the same for Richard Kiel, but "Jaws" (as became later in a James Bond movie), was always fun to watch. Some real-life pro goons, like Green Bay's Ray Nitchke, join the cast for some gridiron realism. In the end, its a clichéd, but fun two hours of escapism.
