The Omid Djalili Show (2007)
The Omid Djalili Show was a British sketch comedy/stand-up comedy television show produced by Hat Trick Productions for BBC One. Writing by Omid Djalili, Will Smith, Roger Drew, Ian Stone, Ricky Grover with script editor Steve Punt. The theme tune is a piece of Salsa music called "Amor Verdadero", performed by the Afro-Cuban All Stars. It was first broadcast on 17 November 2007 in the network's primetime Saturday night slot. It is also broadcast in Australia on ABC1, in Denmark on DR2, in Estonia on ETV2 in 2010, in Israel on yes stars Comedy, in Germany on WDR and in Portugal on RTP2. The second series was recorded late 2008, and was first broadcast on 20 April 2009 at 10.35pm on BBC One. The show was axed in 2010.

Omid talks about football chants and how line dancing was invented in ancient Persia. Sketches include Napoleon's modeling aspirations, Fantasy football, and Henry VIII tackles Ann Boleyn. Also, Minicab the musical.
Omid talks about the British press, sport, and the environment. Sketches include a delivery man who joins MI5, Steve 'The Dragon' Thompson teaches us about the environment, and new soap opera Darts Players' Wives.
Omid talks about meeting the Royal Family, and what Obama is really going to do now. Sketches include Iranian news show Look Eastwards, the highly skilled yet undervalued Polish plumber, a spoof documentary titled "C of E or Sea of Evil", Henry VIII divorces Anne of Cleves, and we meet angry comedian Giggles Levine.
Omid talks about making fun of terrorists, and spirituality. Sketches include a Sound of Music tour guide with a vicious streak, and James Bond recieves more disappointing gadgets from Q.
In the final episode of the series, Omid talks about drinking, and how Gordon Brown could learn a lot from football managers. Sketches include Henry VIII being caught out for the final time, Scottish film-maker Dirk Monroe gets a surprise visit, and there is a look at Commuting - The Musical.
